Mr. Eugene Johnson Jr., The Founder and Executive Director of the UNITY TECH FITNESS CENTER,is a seasoned community activist dedicated to improving the lives of youth, young adults and their families. Mr. Johnson's years as a student and instructor spans over 33 years. He began his career in martial arts at the age of 11 at the girls club of San Diego, under 10th degree black belt late Chief Al Terjeo. He achieved one of his goals by holding the rank of Professor, 8th degree black belt. Certified and licensed CDT Non-deadly Force method Tactical & Personal Safety Instructor in Tom Petire's Training for life, family protection, work-safe, Bar-safe, School-safe, Senior-safe, Teen-safe, Bully- safe, and Know & Go Kids program. Mr. Johnson is the first African American in the Hawaiian Kenpo Federation to reach the rank of Professor and inducted into the USA Martial Arts Hall of Fame and the International Martial Arts Hall of Fame in Orlando, Florida.
Professor E. Joohnson, 44, is the first Afican-American in Hawaiian Kenpo to reach one level below the highest rank of Grand Instructor that was confirmed by Grand Master Julian Generalao at 72 before he passed away. Involved in Hawaiian Kenpo since he was 5, he said: "I've followed Eugene's progress closely for more than 30 years, and all that he's accomplished. Yet he's a humble guy and a preacher at the Church of Christ in El Centro, CA. But make no mistake: in a blink of an eye, Professor Eugene Johnson could bring you, writhing, to your knees.
